Got Ink??

I want a tattoo.  A small ladybug on my foot.  I want to be able to 'hide' it under the 'flip flop strap.'  I have always said I wanted to get a tattoo, but never really put any thought into it...until recently.  I am turning 40 in 2 months and 3 days and I think I am going to celebrate that day by getting a tattoo.  I know, it will be permanent...what if I don't like it?  What if it hurts?  (I'm sure it will)  What does the bible say about tattoos?  I've asked myself all these questions and I am still not 100% sure I'm going to go ahead and go through with it.  What do you think?  Don't hold back...I want some honest opinions.  See below for an example of what I think I want.

I too have wanted and thought about the same questions. I want a shooting star that has three trailing little stars behind it. Big star for my hubby and 3 lil ones for the kiddos

People get tattoos for all kinds of reasons. Some wear them proudly, and some keep them hidden. If you want one, get one! I don't recommend getting it under your flip flop strap though, because that means you'll have to go barefoot while it heals! What about right behind your ankle? I have 3, by the way, but they are not visible with clothes on.

I think tattoos are a great way of self-expression and from following your FB posts I know this one will mean a lot to you. I say do it! The foot I can say will most likely hurt way more than a fatty part of the body, but since it's a small tattoo, the pain won't last too long. Not sure if you've seen my tattoo (sleeve) on my FB pictures, but I went through 12 hours of tattooing to finish the piece I have. Not all at one time, but definitely 2 - 3 hours at a time for 3 or 4 sessions. If I can do that, you will definitely be fine with getting the little ladybug on your foot. Note, that sometimes it's harder for the detail to come across in smaller tattoos. The colors can blend together. You may want to discuss this with your tattoo artist first.

Have fun and happy early birthday to you! : )

Missi, I'm admittedly not a fan of tattoos, but if you want to get one, and Tofer's not adamantly opposed, go for it. I agree with putting in behind your ankle, rather than on your foot though. As tiny as that ladybug will be, it'll be cute on the ankle.
